November 2005: The Rennaissance Festival
I went down to Mom and Dad's house in Houston Friday afternoon - if you go to Houston, plan your trip so that you are not on the 610 Loop at 5:00pm. Saturday morning, Dad and I met family friend Kesey in Tomball and then headed out to the Rennaissance Festival between Magnolia and Plantersville.
The three best things about RenFest are the food, the site, and the people. We ate Scotch eggs, banana empanadas, Cajun shrimp, grilled corn, fish and chips, and pecan cobbler. And a funnel cake. And probably some other stuff. They had added some new buildings since I was there last, and now have a whole pirate section that is very cool. They also improved the jousting field. But the people are the best - both those who work there and those who visit. The costumes are amazing - as you see from some of the pictures we took.
If you haven't gone to the Rennaissance Festival, go! You will love it, too.
