William Crisman Sutphen
February 19, 1835 - June 23, 1862
This picture was taken in April 1862 in Shreveport, Louisiana, shortly before he died of measles while serving in Co. H, 17th Texas Cavalry.

Mary Ann's daughter Mary Annah Scogin married Sarah's son George Ellmore Sutphen. Sarah was the wife of William Sutphen, shown above.

Sarah Wilson Oxsheer Sutphen

Annie and Sarah were half-sisters.
Annie married Samuel Sutphen, Sarah married his brother William.
